Greenpeace activists protest with banners and images of forest destruction at the German Procter & Gamble headquarters and inform P&G employees with leaflets.
A 12-month investigation by Greenpeace International reveals that Procter & Gamble, which makes Head & Shoulders shampoo, is buying palm oil from companies connected to orang-utan habitat clearance in Indonesia. The findings show that Procter & Gamble buys from the palm oil traders KLK and Musim Mas, whose palm oil comes from controversial plantation companies involved in forest destruction.
