Shoot: Offshore Drilling Petitions in US
GP0STPKD5
Community leaders from the front lines of offshore drilling gather before delivering more than 2 million petitions to President Obama at the White House. The message is simple: “protect our communities, protect our oceans, protect our climate.” The Obama Administration is expected to update its “five-year plan” for offshore oil and gas drilling in the coming weeks, deciding the fate of our publicly owned oceans from the Arctic to the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico. Offshore drilling is a dirty and dangerous business that threatens our coastal communities, our vital oceans, and our climate. Greenpeace and allied groups including Earthjustice, 350.org, Greenpeace USA, Indigenous Environmental Network, Bridge The Gulf, Sierra Club, Oceana, Environment America, Alaska Wilderness League, Center for Biological Diversity, Food & Water Watch, Friends of the Earth U.S., Avaaz, CREDO Mobile, Oil Change International, NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), League of Conservation Voters and others.
