Shoot: Statue with Life Jacket Action at Afsluitdijk in the Netherlands
GP0STTUUS
Greenpeace Netherlands has placed an orange lifejacket on the iconic statue of Engineer Cornelis Lely on the Afsluitdijk (a major dam in the Netherlands), and a sign reading “Den Haag, keer het tij!” (The Hague Turn the Tide) on the day that new climate negotiations start.
With this symbolic action Greenpeace wants to emphasize that only a strong climate policy can turn the tide and tackle the climate crisis.
