On the anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Greenpeace activists join a 20,000 strong demonstration against nuclear power. Protestors form a 'human chain' and circle the headquarters of Areva, EDF, national Parliament and the Economic & Environmental Ministries. They hold a banner which reads "Accident Nucleaire: L'Industrie Doit Payer Pas Les Citoyens," which translates to "Nuclear Accident: Industry Must Pay, Not Citizens." Greenpeace activists also made origami cranes in reference to a Japanese legend which promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish. The activists' wish is to make the nuclear industry accountable and phase out nuclear power.
