Action at Kori Nuclear Reactor in South Korea
The Greenpeace ship, Rainbow Warrior and a variety of police and coast guard vessels are seen in front of the Kori nuclear reactor, as Greenpeace calls for nuclear energy phase out starting with the Kori 1 reactor, the oldest nuclear facility in the country.
The Rainbow Warrior is on a 'Nuclear Emergency Tour' of Korea with the aim of demanding for proper nuclear emergency plans. Before the protest, the Rainbow Warrior blew its siren towards the power plant to alert the public of the danger it poses. Every 15th of the month, Korea holds an emergency drill in preparation for a military attack. There is however no proper drill in case of a nuclear meltdown occurs.
