The Duma has officially adopted an amendment that extends an amnesty decree to defendants who have been charged with hooliganism. It therefore includes the Arctic 30 (28 activists and two freelance journalists) who were arrested, following a peaceful protest at a Gazprom-operated Arctic oil platform. The legal proceedings against the Arctic 30 will now come to an end and the 26 non-Russians will be free to return home to their families as soon as they are given exit visas by the Russian authorities.Locations:Europe-Russia-Saint PetersburgDate:18 Dec, 2013Credit:© Dmitry Sharomov / GreenpeaceMaximum size:2500px X 1725pxKeywords:Arctic 30 (campaign title)-Arrests-Celebrations-Court cases-Gazprom-Greenpeace activists-Happiness-Indoors-KWCI (GPI)-Law-Men-Offshore drilling-Oil (Industry)-Russian Government-Save the Arctic (campaign title)-Two people-WomenShoot:'Arctic 30' in Saint PetersburgThe 'Arctic 30' (twenty-eight Greenpeace International activists, as well as a freelance photographer and a freelance videographer) are transferred to Saint Petersburg.
