Greenpeace's historic Arctic Sunrise ship passes the Statue of Liberty as it arrives in New York City to begin a month long tour along the Atlantic Coast highlighting threats to our oceans and climate. The tour focus is on the urgent issue of single-use plastics and microplastics in our waters, and the need to protect our coasts and climate from seismic blasting and offshore oil drilling.
