Avian Flu in Spanish Industrial Farms
Greenpeace Spain has witnessed how the bodies of chickens affected by the outbreak of avian flu are removed from a large poultry farm in Íscar (Valladolid, Spain), which has put the authorities and the poultry sector on alert. Thousands of carcasses are being removed for transport to the disposal center. The environmental organization denounces that industrial farming is a real time bomb and that it is urgent to put an end to this destructive model, which puts the health of the planet and people at risk.
