Chicago Bridge Coal Blockade Action

Greenpeace activists hang with a banner reading "We Can Stop Coal" in Spanish and English off the side of the Pulaski Bridge near the Crawford coal-fired generating plant. They hung low enough to the water to stop a coal barge from reaching Crawford and nearby Fisk coal-fired power plant for a time. The team of activists are calling on Midwest Generating to shut down the nearly 50-year-old plant.
