Climate Action COP15 Climate Flag in Copenhagen
On the second to last day of the UN-Climate Conference in Copenhagen a Swiss flag, 40 meters large, is rolled out by members of the 'Climate Alliance' in front of the conference building. During four months the flag was travelling on a tour through Switzerland and got signed by the Swiss population with wishes for the climate addressed to the government. The Federal Council Moritz Leuenberger brought the flag to Copenhagen. Moritz Leuenberger will announce today the Swiss position at the UN-Climate Conference.

Kopenhagen, 17. Dezember 2009: Am vorletzten Tag der Klimaverhandlungen in Kopenhagen wird vor dem Konferenzgebäude die 40m x 40m grosse Schweizer Fahne von Mitgliedern der Klimaalianz ausgerollt. Während vier Monaten reiste die Fahne durch die ganze Schweiz und wurde von der Bevölkerung mit Klima-Wünschen an die Regierung bereichert. Angereist ist die Fahne zusammen mit Bundesrat Moritz Leuenberger, der heute in Kopenhagen den Schweizer Standpunkt in den internationalen Klimaverhandlungen verkünden wird.
