Climate Seniors Action at European Court of Human Rights in Bern, Switzerland - Clipreel
After the Swiss Federal Supreme Court rejected the filed suit, the Association of Climate Seniors takes their case to the European Court of Human Rights.
They rebuke the federal government's failure to act on climate protection and demand more effective measures. The climate action at the Court is one of the first of its kind and could become a precedent for the whole of Europe. To underline their concern, the senior citizens are travelling personally from Bern via Basel to Strasbourg.

Nachdem das schweizerische Bundesgericht abgelehnt hat, zieht der Verein der KlimaSeniorinnen ihre Klage vor den Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte.
Sie rügen die Unterlassungen des Bundes im Klimaschutz und fordern verstärkte wirkungsvollere Massnahmen. Die Klimaklage ist am Gerichtshof eine der ersten ihrer Art und könnte zu einem Präzedenzfall für ganz Europa werden. Um ihr Anliegen zu unterstreichen, reisen die Seniorinnen persönlich von Bern via Basel nach Strassburg.
