Crane Art Installation Supports Fukushima Survivors at UN in Geneva
A collaborative art installation between Greenpeace Japan and Swiss artist, Sipho Mabona, brings messages of support and solidarity for Fukushima survivors (#Stand4Fukushima) to the doorstep of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
Greenpeace Japan is intervening in the United Nations Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Japan on behalf of Fukushima survivors (particularly women and children). On Thursday 12 October 2017, Ms. Sonoda, a mother and survivor of the Fukushima nuclear disaster testified at the Pre-Session for the UPR.

国際環境NGOグリーンピース・ジャパンは、東京電力福島第一原発事故により故郷からの避難を余儀なくされている女性、園田さんとともに、スイス・ジュネーブで行われた国連人権理事会の普遍的・定期的審査査(UPR)事前セッションに参加し、放射能汚染が続く地域への帰還圧力の改善の必要性を、国連人権理事会の各国政府代表者を前に訴えた。
