Detox Action at Black Yak Headquarters in Korea
Greenpeace activists protest at Black Yak’s headquarters in Seoul. Black Yak is one of the major Korean outdoor brands. Greenpeace asks Black Yak to join the detox commitment by innovating their outdoor equipment production. The activists also deliver a message to the workers of Black Yak that the continued use of PFCs will damage the environment and humans.
A Greenpeace report "Leaving Traces" reveals that PFC chemicals are dangerous to human health and the environment. To protest against the continued and wide use of PFCs by the major outdoor clothing and equipment brands, Greenpeace demands the outdoor brands such as the North Face, Haglöfs, Mammut and Black Yak to stop using PFCs and switch to the toxic-free production.
