Die Beluga im Einsatz gegen Atomkraft - Web Video
(Title translated corrispondingly: The Beluga in operation against Nuclear Power)The Beluga became famous for its work in the anti-nuclear movement. In front of the nuclear reprocessing plants in the British Sellafield and the French La Hague the ship helped with its laboratory equipment to prove the pollution by these plants. The German government stopped the reprocessing of nuclear fuel in 2005 because of the measurement results and hereby reduced the amount of returning nuclear waste for the interim storage site Gorleben. Statements (in German) by: Peter Küster, former Greenpeace Germany teamleader , Roland Hipp, executive director of Greenpeace Germany
