Five Years After the Disaster Rainbow Warrior Sails Past Fukushima Daiichi
The Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior sailing on the coast off Fukushima, five years after the nuclear disaster. An LED banner on the deck shows the text ‘HOPE’ to honour the victims of the catastrophe. Today there are still nearly 100 000 people displaced as a result of the disaster.

On occasion of the 5th anniversary of the nuclear accident in Fukushima, Greenpeace carries out an underwater research tour monitoring the radiation impacts on the underwater life. Greenpeace nuclear experts work with a ROV (remotely operated vehicle), an under water camera and special testing equipment.
