Genetic Engineering Action in Changins Switzerland
With the occupation of a field of the Swiss Research Institute in Changins Greenpeace protest against the first release of genetically manipulated potatoes. The Greenpeace activists hang up banners like: 'DIVERSITE CONTRE UNIFORMITE' translated in English: 'DIVERSITY AGAINST UNIFORMITY' and planted flowers and bushes on the research areal refering to the biodiversity of the nature.

Changins, 15. April 1991: Mit einer gefahrlosen Besetzung demonstriert Greenpeace gegen die geplante und mit unkalkulierbaren Risiken verbundene Freisetzung von genmanipulierten Kartoffeln. Das Aussetzen genmanipulierter Pflanzen birgt unabschätzbare Gefahren, deren negative Folgen wir wahrscheinlich erst Jahre später spüren werden. Die Störung des empfindlichen Gleichgewichts des Ökosystems ist kein Spiel!
