This mural is in Turkey, located in Seferihisar, known as a ‘slow city’, Ulamis is a village where 2600 people live. However every weekend it is filled with people from the city, who come for its farmers market and heirloom bread. Greenpeace Turkey collaborated with local NGO Atölye Deneme Sanat ve Ekolojik Çalışmalar Derneği, and artist Husna Cakir ,who specialises in traditional Turkish arts to bring the warm and sweet breeze of hope through art. Husna covered her painting with bales of reclaimed plastic bottles, symbolizing the plastic waste imported to Turkey from other countries.
