Greenpeace International Executive Director, Jennifer Morgan participates in bi-lateral talks during the 'Our Ocean Conference' 23-24th October in Oslo, Norway. Hosting a panel together with Odd Kristian Dahle, Head of Communications at Fiskebåt, the association of the fishing fleet in Norway. Accompanying them is Alex Rogers, co-author of the report '30x30: a blueprint for ocean protection' and now Science Director at REV Oceans.
Jennifer Morgan is participating in the conference to address Norway's weak position in the negotiations regarding the Global Ocean Treaty, and to ask Norway to support the global alliance which is calling for 30% marine protection by 2030. Greenpeace focus at the conference is to expose Norway's blue washing strategy, whereby Norway are putting ten times more money into oil exploration investments than into ocean protection.
