Ms Sato, an evacuee from Kawamata
Ms Sato used to live in Kawamata district. However, when radiation levels grew too high, she and her children left their farmhouse. Like many other evacuees, they now live in temporary housing in an apartment complex in Yonezawa. Her children have dropped out of school, and she desperately wants to go back, but she is unsure when that will be, if at all.
