Oil floats on the Surface of the North Sea in the Andrew Oil Field. The crew of the Esperanza has discovered an Oil pollution in the Area of the Andrew Platform. The BP operated hydrocarbon field holds a single platform that is located 230 kilometres North-East of Aberdeen in block 16/28 of the United Kingdom Continental Shelf.
