Endangered Fish Campaign Tour in Purmerend
This summer Greenpeace will visit Dutch markets, squares and beaches with an old-fashioned Dutch herring-cart. Not only this cart is nostalgic, but also it's content; are disappearing from our seas, which is a huge threat to the reproduction of these species and to the ecosystem as a whole. Volunteers hand out information on this problem and are giving away the "vis-a-card" or in English 'fish-a-card' ; a colorful card that clearly shows what fish is 'ok' to eat and what fish better not to eat.
