Organic Potatoes in Luxembourg
Aender Schanck, the organic farmers president, is seen here in his supermarket holding a sack of organic potatoes. A genetically engineered potato was authorised by the EU commission on the 2nd March 2010. This means that the GE crop can now be cultivated in 27 different countries. Greenpeace is calling for a moratorium on all genetically engineered products in the EU in order to protect consumers, farmers and the environment.
