Sampling at Marchon Outflow Pipe in UK
Greenpeace sampling the discharge into the Irish Sea from the multinational company Albright and Wilson. Marchon produces a range of chemicals for detergents, toiletries etc, and at the time of this picture is the biggest single polluter of the Irish Sea. Greenpeace announced its prosecution of the company in October 1990; the first private prosecution against a chemical company under the 1989 Water Act.
