Greenpeace activists, GEO journalists and students from the Henri-Nannen School climb on the "Lummelfelsen" in Heligoland to remove birds nests partly made from plastic waste. In einem gemeinsamen Pilotprojekt seilen sich Greenpeace Aktivisten und GEO-Journalisten am Helgolaender Lummenfelsen ab, um unter wissenschaftlicher Aufsicht plastikverseuchte Vogelnester zu bergen. Mit der Kletteraktion startet in Deutschlands kleinstem Naturschutzgebiet ein Forschungsprojekt zu den Folgen des Plastikmuells im Meer. Am Lummenfelsen verenden immer wieder Basstoelpel und Trottellummen qualvoll in Plastikfaeden. die die Seevoegel zum Nestbau verwenden.
