This method of fishing in Green Island was at its height during the 60s, with more than 20 fishing boats, and hundreds of fishermen. However, numbers have since plummeted to 3 boats and less than 10 fishermen. The Greenpeace ship is in Taiwan for the "A Better Future, Together" tour.
