Proposed Nuclear Plant Protest in India
The standoff between locals and the state takes turn for the worse after the Chief Minister for Tamil Nadu approved the commissioning of the Koodankulam nuclear power plant. Locals have been protesting at the commissioning of the two Russian VVER reactors for the past 7 months. They are concerned that no proper geological survey has taken place.
