Greenpeace activists protest against the German government's livestock policies to raise awareness for the need for urgent improvements for the new coalition in Berlin. The environmental activists covered the windows of the CDU's headquarters with images of pigs in their stalls and banners reading: "Let the sow free" (Lasst die Sau raus!") The activists also visited the current coalition negotiations on agriculture and consumer affairs.
The CDU/CSU has lead the Ministery of Agriculture for the last 12 years and is therefore politically responsible for the living conditions in livestock farming.
