Protest on Highway A49 in Hesse
Six Greenpeace activists are demonstrating for climate-friendly traffic planning on a viaduct of the controversial highway A49 in Hesse. In eight-meter letters, they are painting the 90-meter-long lettering "AUTOBAHN" with the first part of the word "Auto" crossed out in chalk paint on a construction section that has not yet been approved.
The nearby Dannenroeder Forest in Hesse is in danger of being cleared for a new highway (A49).
