Following the first blast, Fernando called out that he was going below to get his cameras. He was knocked unconscious in his cabin by the second blast, and drowned. At the time, Fernando had two young children. In 2005, his daughter Marelle participated in a ceremony, in New Zealand, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the bombing.Locations:Aotearoa-Auckland-Auckland Harbour-OceaniaDate:10 Jul, 1985Credit:© GreenpeaceDuration:1m3sAudio format:Final MixProduction Type :WEB VIDEOKeywords:Anniversaries-Death-French Government-Greenpeace crew-Harbours-KWCI (GPI)-MV Rainbow Warrior-Nuclear (campaign title)-Photographers-ViolenceShoot:Rainbow Warrior Bombing - Web VideosA series of six short videos telling the story of the Rainbow Warrior bombing in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1985.
