Greenpeace Brazil activists have joined forces with Munduruku Indigenous leaders to protest the Brazilian government's plans to build a mega dam complex in the Tapajós River, in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. Activists joined the Munduruku at Sawré Muybu Village along Tapajós River to send a clear message to the world: "Save the Heart of the Amazon". Together, they unfurled a banner demanding an end to the Tapajós dams project.

Ativistas do Greenpeace se juntaram a lideranças Munduruku para passar um recado para o mundo: “Salve o Coração da Amazonia”. Ao todo, há 43 hidrelétricas previstas para a bacia do Tapajós, sendo cinco já planejadas. A maior delas é a de São Luiz do Tapajós, próxima a Itaituba, no Pará, que, se construída, vai afetar a vida de povos indígenas e ribeirinhos, além de destruir uma área de intensa biodiversidade na Amazônia.
