Sir Bob Watson is the current chair of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and former chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Trained originally in atmospheric chemistry, he has worked at NASA, the White House, the World Bank and Defra.
