Street Art Project in Jiu Valley, Romania
Greenpeace Romania & Valea Jiului Implicată launched the first street art project in Jiu Valley! After 4 weeks of active dialogues with the local community and a series of public consultations, we erected a lively, colorful mural on one of the previously blank wall of a building in the Petroșani city center. The artwork was achieved by the artist IRLO. The project was achieved in the context of national authorities working on the "Strategy for the transition from coal in Jiu Valley. The analysis of the main challenges and opportunities in Jiu Valley" and it seeks to share a vision that is focused on the sustainable development of the region.
