The efficient wood stoves are made of clay, straw and cow dung. All ingredients are sustainable and have a positive effect on the development of the site. Sa position de ville carrefour lui donne une place de choix dans la vie économique du Sénégal. Cependant, elle est très affectée par la pollution et la saleté. Les journées internationales Scout 2012 ont été une occasion pour les Scouts du Sénégal de profiter d’une formation sur la construction de foyers à argile dans les locaux du Lycée Moderne de Kaolack. Ces activités ont duré deux jours pendant lesquels une démonstration a été faite sur la construction des foyers à argiles.
