Action in Honor of 400 Thousand Lives Lost to Covid-19 in Brazil
At the time when Brazil reaches 400 thousand lives lost to the Covid-19 virus, Greenpeace Brazil protests at the Meeting of Waters - the location where Rio Negro and Solimões River join to form the Amazon River - in Manaus, one of the cities that suffered the most from the crisis caused by the pandemic. The action is in honor of Covid-19 victims and their families, but it also demands that the government takes responsibility in fighting the disease.
To form the "400 thousand lives" message, measuring 14 x 92 meters, are used 18 tons of food, hygiene supplies, masks and oxygen cylinders, which will be donated to non-governmental charity institutions in Manaus.
