Plastic Pollution Investigation with Ambassador’s Ship in Japan
Greenpeace Japan carries out an activity with its Ambassador Takemoto Masahiro on his sailing boat. As part of the event, Greenpeace staff and Mr. Takemoto collect water samples from Tokyo bay and observe them using a microscope. Several microplastic type substances are found in the water samples. An interview is also live-streamed and photos are taken with a banner saying “No more plastics in the oceans”. As a professional diver and environmentalist, Mr. Takemoto and Greenpeace Japan will continue working together to strengthen Greenpeace's campaign.
