Encounter in Lorino
Greenpeace's investigation of the Soviet whaling station, narrated by Patrick Moore, Director Greenpeace Canada. This film is the incident where Greenpeace activist, Jim Henry, is in an inflatable boat packed with fuel cans and attempts to deliver a film of the Soviet Union whaling station to Nome, Alaska. A Soviet helicopter flies low over the inflatable boat and the blast of the rotors blows Jim Henry into the sea. The driverless inflatable boat circles madly. As the Rainbow Warrior is positioned near the driverless inflatable boat, Bruce Abraham jumps from the bow of the Rainbow Warrior and into the driverless boat. The inflatable boat is retrieved, but Bruce Abraham breaks his ankle on landing in the boat.
