TW 7-Eleven Introduce the Rental Cup System in Taiwan
Taiwan’s largest convenience store chain, TW 7-Eleven, has tried to implement a rental cup system in three branches in Tainan city. Customers only need to use their smartphones to borrow a reusable beverage cup then they can use the reusable cup to buy coffee in 7-Eleven.
Since 2019, Greenpeace has urged Taiwan’s key retail industries, including TW 7-Eleven to reduce plastics, and They have finally faced up to the plastic pollution it produces. Greenpeace is calling for 7-Eleven to expand the rental cup system to all branches in Taiwan, and we also hope that other retailers will follow up very soon, and even suggest more reuse trails to reduce their plastic consumption.
