Performance for the International Day of Cities in Bogotá
In the week that marks the first anniversary of the declaration of Climate Emergency in Bogotá and a few hours before the kick off of COP 26 in Glasgow, Greenpeace Colombia called out for a city with less pollution and greater measures in tune with the environmental crisis. Dressed up in white suits with printed contaminated lungs, activists from the environmental organization performed in front of cars and passersby, to show the everyday situations in which citizens are exposed to polluted air in the city. Greenpeace Colombia denounces that Bogotá generates more than 11 million tons of greenhouse gases per year, of which 60 percent come from vehicles.
