Boulder Placement in the Dogger Bank in the North Sea
An HM Coastguard plane circles overhead the Greenpeace ship, Esperanza in the North Sea.
Greenpeace UK activists are placing
Inert granite boulders into the North Sea as part of a new bottom trawler exclusion zone in the Dogger Bank Marine Protected Area.
The initiative will help prevent destructive bottom trawling which destroys the Dogger Bank’s protected seabed.
