Caro ship Sare, is dumping phosphogypsum 'yellow sludge' off the north French coast.
Phosphogypsum is the gypsum formed as a by-product of processing phosphate ore into fertilizer with sulfuric acid. By 1990 Britain will be the only nation still dumping sewage sludge in the North Sea.
