Inflatables Hinder the Harpooning Ship
Greenpeace inflatable driving in front of the Yushin Maru No. 2 catcher ship while the harpoon is fired closely over head. The activists use a modified fire pump in a small inflatable to obscure the view of the harpoonist on the catcher ship of the Japanese whaling fleet. Greenpeace is in the Southern Ocean to stop Japan's annual 'scientific' whale hunt. This year the Fisheries Agency of Japan has more than doubled its planned catch of minke whales to 935 and added 10 endangered fin whales which are the second largest creatures on earth after blue whales.
