Banner and Tuna Car Greet Arriving ICCAT Delegates
Greenpeace activists park the bluefin tunamobile in front of the ICCAT (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas) meeting venue in Paris. The specially designed 'tuna-mobile' has a life-size bluefin tuna and a fishing net on its roof, and a sign reading in French "Save me" and "8 days to survive". Greenpeace activists also display a banner reading in French "Bluefin Tuna: 8 days to survive" in front of the ICCAT (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas) meeting venue in Paris. Greenpeace is calling on governments present at ICCAT to close the Mediterranean bluefin tuna fishery until the recovery of the species can be proved.
