Action at Water Authority in Tel Aviv
Greenpeace activists dressed as a new brand of contaminated water called "iii" (pronounced as a sigh) visit the Water Authority in Tel Aviv to highlight the threat of contamination of Israeli drinking water by a proposed oil shale project located on top of one of Israel's biggest aquifers in Emek Ayalar and to demand to see their "clean up plan" should the aquifer become contaminated.
It is estimated that production and usage of oil shale, creates up to 50% more greenhouse gases compared to conventional fossil fuels.
