Oil Clean-up Operations in Louisiana
Shrimp boats with oil booms attached make their way in the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana shore. The boats are being used in an effort to clean up some of the oil from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead disaster that has been leaking into the Gulf water for more than 50 days. The BP leased Deepwater Horizon oil platform exploded April 20 and sank after burning, leaking record amounts of crude oil from the broken pipeline into the sea.
