Football fans during the Champions League game between Galatasaray and Juventus in Istanbul's stadium unfold a 200-square-metre Greenpeace banner urging one of the Champions League’s top sponsors, Russian oil giant Gazprom, to drop its Arctic drilling plan. The banner reads "‘Kick Gazprom out of the Arctic". Greenpeace is campaigning for a ban on offshore drilling in the Arctic, and for the uninhabited area around the North Pole to be declared a global sanctuary.
