'Oil Free Seas' Flotilla at Tasman Sea Drill Site
Greenpeace sponsored SV Vega confronts the Noble Bob Douglas
drilling ship on the site where oil giant Anadarko intends to start
exploratory drilling for deep sea oil. Other yachts in the Oil Free
Seas Flotilla say outside the 500 metre exclusion zone, from left,
SV Tiama, SV Friendship SV Ratbag and SV Shearwater II. The drill
site is over 100 nautical miles off Raglan, on the west coast of
New Zealand, and in waters around a kilometre and a half deep.
