Dutch and German activists drove inflatables around the bow of Swedish nuclear transport vessel Sigyn to prevent her docking at Emden. The Sigyn is carrying spent nuclear fuel from a German nuclear power plant to a Swedish intermediate storage. Despite radio calls from Greenpeace and the firing of distress flares, the Sigyn proceeded into port, crushing one of the inflatables under her hull. The two occupants just managed to jump clear.
