Gavin Power Plant in Cheshire
The Gavin Power Plant towers over a shuttered concession stand at a recreational area in the ghost town of Cheshire. Toxic sulfurous gas clouds and acid rains created by the plant were so severe that its parent company, American Electric Power, bought the town in 2002 and tore down most of the houses.
