The number of fire outbreaks registered in the Amazon in 2019 is one of the largest in recent years. From January to August 20, the number of fires in the region was 145% higher than in the same period of 2018. Greenpeace carries out an overflight at various locations in the Amazon to document and record the extension of the destruction caused by fires and deforestation. 

A quantidade de focos de incêndio registrados na Amazônia em 2019 é uma das maiores dos últimos anos. De janeiro a 20 de agosto, o número de queimadas na região foi 145% superior ao registrado no mesmo período de 2018. O Greenpeace realizou um sobrevoo em diversos locais da Amazônia para documentar e registrar a extensão da destruição gerada pelas queimadas e pelo desmatamento.
