Still from “The Server Room’s Deadly Secret” Web Video
Daniel Lindemann, a talk-show panel leader and actor originally from Germany, poses for a photo shoot for Greenpeace Seoul, launching the Clicking Clean Campaign. He has also lent his acting skills to Greenpeace in the production of a video calling for the data center companies to take the truly innovative and sustainable leadership, and break away from the fossil fuel sources of electricity.
Greenpeace Seoul has continuously demanded the renewable energy (RE) direct access for the IT sectors since 2015. Currently Korea’s IT giant, Naver is expanding its business to the global level, and many Korean IT companies are following Naver’s lead. Korea’s monopoly utility system lacks of access to renewable electricity for the IT companies. Without key policy changes, the rapid growth of the Internet is Korea will bring more fossil fuel sources of electricity.
